What should I know about the Home Care Agreement?
Your Home Care Agreement
There should be enough time for you to look at your Home Care Agreement and seek independent legal advice before signing. This is important in situations where the consumer has some cognitive impairment.
The Home Care Agreement should be easy to understand.
At a minimum it should contain your care plan and transparent budget (often as attachments).
The provider should ensure that you and/or your representative understand the terms of the agreement. You can ask for an advocate to represent them during this process.
